has anyone noticed that there's a perfectly good but under-utilized news group at alt.fan.cfny ( http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&l ... t.fan.cfny) that could be used to discuss current DJs instead of clogging up the Spirit Of Radio fan site with drivel that has nothing to do with cfny after it became "the Edge" ?

Good idea, go there. Leave this site to discussing CFNY pre 1988. I could care less what's happening on the shaving cream station these days.

Yeah, like he said. Instead of wasting the bandwidth here writing about how good/bad such and such a dj is now, take it elsewhere.

Chances are that very few of the people who listened to the station back in the 'spirit' days bother with it anymore. Just my $0.02

Exactly, the djs they have now have nothing to do with good radio and the "Spirit". Humber and Ryerson Chum rejects.

There was a guy on in the evenings within the last 4 or 5 years who was actually pretty decent. Wasn't afraid to be critical of the music he didn't like. Was also quirky,well-informed and had some phone calls that made me laugh. Did a pretty decent request-show too if I recall things right. Can't remember the name.
