Does anyone remember those horrible on air spots for Ford during the early 90s in which Dan Duran would discuss the virtues of his new Ford probe with Humble and Fred?

Yes, and he did have a Probe and it was Red.

It must have been tough having a name like Dan Duran in the Eighties. By the end of each day he must have been ready to punch the next guy who said "hey, didja ever hear of a band named...".

Didn't Dan have a TV show on Channel 11 around that time too? Some sort of Hollywood thing?

I vaguely remember the show. Wasn't he paired with Chris Sheppard? I do remember one of the prizes on the show though. The " I slept with Dan Duran Tote Bag"

Bumble & Fred did do a special dance party show which showed on cable 10 in T.O. which they shamelessly promo'd and was horrible. Was the time that Dan Duran was around probably early 90's and Energy 108 was taking over the dance aspect of T.O. radio and they just wanted to show that 102 can still dance too. Was just my perspective as I think the first song they played was Losing Y Religion, and they all danced like perfect white guys!

I totally remember the \"Probe\" jokes. I think it was even mentioned on the Humbe & Fred Cable Special.
