The Plumber

Post by imriej »

OK, here's another obscure one that has always eluded me.

Does anyone have/know a synthpop (?) song called "The Plumber". I can't recall the band's name....I think they were signed to Unidisc (?)....Could they be Canadian? it's all so vague. I just remember it was a fun song.

How about you shackstrain? Anything? :-)

Muchos gracias,

yes Workforce - The Plumber
An over elaberate number for its lyrics & I think the only song they are known for in a small circle! To my guess the only airplay they got was from Live Earl show.
So here it is.....Enjoy

Omigosh.....I knew it....If anyone had it, you would. Amazing.

From the sounds of it, it appears that it was ripped from a broadcast tape. I might be able to clean up/edit that intro a little better, if you're interested. Since it is a hard one to track down, I'll see what I can do.

Say, out of curiousity, is there anything that you're looking for? Maybe I can help you.

Thanks for that offer but I have over 10,500 tracks from mostly the Old CFNY era & I draw a blank for missing stuff.I usually listen to Marsbar Theater thurs/fri nites off 94.9 the rock out of Oshawa for any new developments. As a rule I can get new stuff with the recorder. The plumber was given to me a long time ago & probley was off a tape!
You must have a better ear than I as I've burned that to disc for the car & I never noticed any distortion from it but see what you can do & re-post it ....Thanks

I don't know....the beginning sounds like there's a tiny bit of another track mixing into the intro...is it me? :-) My hearing's not getting THAT bad yet..... :-)

You sound like me....I believe I have at least that many tracks. Started a simple spreadsheet (Artist/Song/Album) years ago, adding to it as I received new songs, on CD or mp3. Still have a ton of vinyl as well, not even catalogued....some of it I have digitized, some not. Mostly 70's/80's.

Don't catch Marsden Theater as often as I would like. I always seem to be busy on Thursday/Friday nights, or I forget. I did manage to catch Geets Romo's appearance last year. What a great show. That would have been one for the archives. Even left a messsage in the station's Guestbook after that one. :-) I'm in Mississauga, so if I'm in the car out here, the signal's pretty weak. I'm usually playing radiojive through the house stereo, hearing old and new stuff, not to mention the old CFNY commercials that are elsewhere on this site.

For the Marsbar theater go to
www,marsdenglobal.com
all links are there from his site to the radio live braodcast as well as a chatroom during the broadcast. You can ask him questions etc.
Sistamar does most of the board traffic as David shows up late some days!
