wow, what awesome timing! I have just started a blog devoted to all the (30-ish) tapes I made off the radio during the course of this countdown! My list is far from complete (I had to eat and sleep, and missed more than 400 songs on the countdown) but as you say, something is better than nothing.

If Live Earl doesn't post it here himself I'll be sure to. I was wondering how your project was coming along.
What he's going to do is re-run that entire Top 1002 over a long weekend on his internet radio station, probably July 4th.

did the Live Earl Jive replay come to anything?
anyhow I have finally gotten my butt in gear and am adding ACTUAL AUDIO FILES taped off the Best 1002 of All Time on my blog here: http://spiritofmixtape.wordpress.com/audio-downloads/
at present there are 6 tapes (that's more than 4 hours of 1991 CFNY goodness!) digitized and posted with 20 or so more on the way. enjoy, and spread the word!

Nope, no reply... yet. Last I heard he was busy with other projects which delayed him, plus he needed to find some of the material. I indicated to him to send me a list of what he was missing and I'd either have it or go hunting for it, but nothing so far.

Still nothing. After a year since last contact, I wrote to the Live Earl Jive again a couple of days ago and no response.

The first 1/5 of this list still isn't accurate. Inserted were songs that replaced classic rock tracks that appeared on the original list.
