I was at CFNY from November 1986 to November 1993.

It was a dream come true to not only hone my skills as a radio journalist IN TORONTO, my home town and media capital...but at a station I loved listening to and one that allowed me to cover stories others didn't.

It wasn't just a job. It was big part of my everyday life that also brought me a lot of laughs and a lot of friendships.

Since being laid off from CFNY (Maclean-Hunter cost cutting) I did freelance work at the FAN radio and tried my hand in television ON CAMERA at Shaw Cable in Richmond Hill.

I first started writing at CTV Newsnet in 1997 and have been full time since 2000.

One of the greatest compliments is talking to a foreign correspondent by phone, in a war zone, who tells me he remembers my reporting on CFNY. Is that cool or what?
