Peter and his wife Liz now work in radio consulting, and do some teaching as well. While Liz travels all over the place, Peter stays in Brampton most of the time.

Wilma Blokhuis says (1999):

"Peter Goodwin is reading the news at Hits 103.5 -- formerly Hot 103.5 in Brampton -- the people Shaw bought Energy 108 from for about $4 to $5 million -- a steal. The aging shareholders (all but two of them -- there were several -- of Burlington Broadcasting), and a few of their widowed spouses, wanted to sell and went 'ownership shopping.' A crumpled photocopied letter got into the hands of Shaw, and the rest is history. There were no other potential buyers, and no CRTC hearing."
