Earl and Beverly have moved to Beverly Hills (where else!?) and work in the television/film/house-sitting industry, while travelling for fun and enjoyment. From Earl:

• I was in SEA OF LOVE (w/ Al Pacino) ... I played a detective.
• I was a restaurant eater in DREAM TEAM (Michael Keaton)
• I was in about 25 other films I don't remember.
• I did a SONY MINI DISC commercial with Dennis Rodman
• Various other commercials
• In Canada, Bev and I were regulars in ENG (we were background reporters in the office)

I am about to start work on a film called CARVING OUT OUR NAMES. I am the Music Supervisor. Also, we have a house-sitting business; we live in the houses of members of the entertainment industry while they tour Europe or the Orient or work in exotic locations for months (or a year) at a time. Usually, they have a dog or two, and people love their dogs. So we take care of their dog, their house, their cars. In essence, we live their Hollywood life while they are away. We love it because it allows us to live in, and experience, so many different neighborhoods. We sample their markets, their restaurants, and their activities. The last time we rented our own place was in 1997 in Marina del Rey; we had a small apartment on the beach for a year.

My favourite pastime is my digital broadcast studio. My equipment is far superior to what we had to use at CFNY. I cannot tell you how exhilarating it is to hit a button and actually have the song start 100 times out of a hundred. I would like to get my program/station on the Internet as I doubt that there is a place for it over the airwaves due to the ownership monopolies.

Bev and I have made a conscious decision not to be owned by another company, because we have had so many occasions in our life (prior to 1992) where we have been screwed by the company after putting our hearts and souls into projects which became very successful, only to have someone new come into the situation, and summarily eliminate us from our #1 rated program (after 8 or 10 years of work). People who have no creative ability tend to gravitate to management positions where they have the power to do this.

Don't get me wrong: I have learned from this. I am not at all bitter! I am not at all stupid, either!

I am in regular contact with several of the old members of the Spirit of Radio, the most frequent of which is its Godfather, The MarsBar, David Marsden.

The 80s, that magical CFNY Spirit of Radio Era, is the favourite time of our lives and we were so fortunate to have been a part of it.

He and Beverly Hills are living in San Diego. She's a "professional organizer" of closets and homes. Earl spent some time in Spain teaching English (!) this year.

September, 2008: Earl and Beverly now live in (of course) Beverly Hills. Earl's hobby is his online radio station, which is exceptional - give it a listen! RadioJive

January, 2014: Earl now has a show "O'Canada" on KX93.5 in Laguna, California.
